Exo Launcher

Exo Launcher usage terms

Copyright (c) 2026 Erix (UhhErix). All rights reserved, subject to the exceptions below.

Exo Launcher is available free of charge for personal use. You may download the official application, install and run it on your devices, and make copies necessary for your own installation or backup.

Except as required by applicable law or permitted by a separate applicable license, you may not copy, fork, mirror, redistribute, sell, sublicense, rebrand or republish the source code of Exo Launcher, in whole or in part, or create, publish or distribute modified versions or derivative works of it, without written permission from the copyright holder. To ask, open an issue at https://github.com/UhhErix/ExoLauncher/issues.

The source code is published at https://github.com/UhhErix/ExoLauncher so anyone can read it and see what Exo Launcher does. It is source-available, not open source. You may read it, and build and run it on your own devices to check it against the official release. Publishing the source grants no other right. GitHub's Terms of Service let GitHub users view and fork public repositories on GitHub; a fork made that way grants no right to use, change or distribute the code beyond these terms.

If you send a contribution, such as a pull request or a patch, you grant the copyright holder a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free and irrevocable license to use, change and distribute it as part of Exo Launcher under any terms.

Previously released versions obtained under the MIT license retain their MIT permissions. These terms do not revoke rights already granted under that license. New original code and changes released by the copyright holder after this licensing change are proprietary unless expressly licensed otherwise.

Third-party components, fonts, libraries, and other materials remain governed by their own licenses. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licenses or replace their required notices.

The installer also carries separate programs under open-source licenses: Exo Mouse (AGPL-3.0-or-later, source at https://github.com/UhhErix/exo-mouse), Exo Shaders (GPL-3.0-or-later with an additional permission, source at https://github.com/UhhErix/exo-shaders), Exo Capture (GPL-3.0-or-later, source at https://github.com/UhhErix/exo-capture), and uBlock Origin Lite, SponsorBlock and Better Lyrics (GPL-3.0). Their licenses, not these terms, govern those programs, and nothing here limits the rights those licenses give you. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.

Exo Launcher is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by the game stores, music services, Discord, hardware makers or other companies whose names or services it works with. Their names and marks belong to their owners. Using those services through Exo remains subject to each service's own terms, which you accept with them, not with these terms.

Exo Cinema

Exo Cinema usage terms

Copyright (c) 2026 Erix (UhhErix). All rights reserved, subject to the exceptions below.

Exo Cinema is available free of charge for personal use. You may download the official application, install and run it on your devices, and make copies necessary for your own installation or backup.

Except as required by applicable law or permitted by a separate applicable license, you may not copy, fork, mirror, redistribute, sell, sublicense, rebrand or republish the source code of Exo Cinema, in whole or in part, or create, publish or distribute modified versions or derivative works of it, without written permission from the copyright holder. To ask, open an issue at https://github.com/UhhErix/ExoCinema/issues.

The source code is published at https://github.com/UhhErix/ExoCinema so anyone can read it and see what Exo Cinema does.

If you send a contribution, such as a pull request or a patch, you grant the copyright holder a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free and irrevocable license to use, change and distribute it as part of Exo Cinema under any terms.

Exo Cinema's interface uses the design of Exo Launcher, by the same copyright holder, under the same terms.

Third-party components, fonts, libraries, and other materials remain governed by their own licenses. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licenses or replace their required notices.

Exo Cinema plays video with libmpv (app\libmpv-2.dll), a library under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later for mpv and version 3 for the FFmpeg it contains; its license texts are in app\licenses. Its license, not these terms, governs libmpv. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that license gives you: in particular, you may replace libmpv-2.dll with another build of libmpv, change your copy of Exo Cinema for your own use as far as needed to use such a build, and reverse engineer Exo Cinema to debug such changes. Where its source is published is in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.

Exo Cinema is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by the Jellyfin project, the mpv or FFmpeg projects, Microsoft, or any other company or project whose names or services it works with. Their names and marks belong to their owners. Exo Cinema plays what your own server or service gives it; what you watch through it, and your use of those servers and services, remain subject to their own terms and the law where you are.

GitHub's Terms of Service let GitHub users view and fork public repositories on GitHub; a fork made that way grants no right to use, change or distribute the code beyond these terms.

Exo Browser's interface uses the design of Exo Launcher, by the same copyright holder, under the same terms.

Third-party components, fonts, libraries, and other materials remain governed by their own licenses. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licenses or replace their required notices.

The installer also carries Exo Shield, a separate program under the GNU General Public License version 3, made from uBlock Origin Lite, HaGeZi's DNS blocklists and TTV LOL PRO (all GPL-3.0); its source is at https://github.com/UhhErix/exo-shield. Its license, not these terms, governs Exo Shield, and nothing here limits the rights that license gives you. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.

Exo Browser is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft, Google, Cloudflare, the websites it opens, the password managers it imports from, or any other company whose names or services it works with. Their names and marks belong to their owners. Using those sites and services through Exo Browser remains subject to each one's own terms, which you accept with them, not with these terms.
